Each year, Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights in the Park provides the Capital Region and beyond with a spirited Holiday Celebration. Thousands of families enjoy the show while contributing to a worthwhile organization, The Albany Police Athletic League (PAL).
What is PAL?
Albany PAL, founded in 1988, is proud to provide quality after school programming to more than 2,000 Albany youth annually. With the help of Albany Police Officers, community volunteers and college interns PAL keeps kids off the streets and safe during their non-school hours. In an attempt to deter juvenile crime, PAL mentors youth through athletic, educational, and recreational programs and events.
During the pandemic, PAL stepped up, delivering Care Packages to the elderly and shut ins; opening PAL CARES Childcare for essential workers, providing them peace of mind during a stressful time; providing cloth masks to school-age children in the City of Albany School District for back-to-school. We would like to thank all of those who have supported our mission during this difficult and challenging time.
